A Surfing Mom is a Happy Mom!
We are a growing community of moms and families who meet up at the beach to surf, swim, and build real relationships with each other.
IT’S BETTER WHEN WE’RE TOGETHER
READY TO FIND YOUR COMMUNITY OF FELLOW MOMS?
Surfing Moms was created in Hawaii by a small group of moms with young kids who sought to support each other through Post Partum Depression by getting outside, in the ocean, and back to themselves.
I became a volunteer local coordinator for Surfing Moms to help build support and community for moms here in Marin, and in the spirit of knowing “it’s better when we’re together.” All moms and families are welcome at Surfing Moms.
Whether you’ve surfed for years, or you’ve never tried it… come join us.
You can bring all your kids or no kids, your partner, friends, or come solo. Bring your board and wetsuit, rent them, or not. Everyone is welcome to come as they are.

THEN IT’S TIME TO
join together
MOM PERK ALERT!
After signing up with Surfing Moms, you can participate in the surf-care where moms take turns hanging out with the kids on the beach while other moms get in the ocean to surf! (Or swim, or take a long walk.) You get “me-time” while the kids are having a blast.

How To Join Surfing Moms

HOW IT WORKS
We’re building a real community at the beach and would love to have you join us!
- Sign up online with Surfing Moms by clicking the button below. If the cost is a burden, please email Surfing Moms to ask for a scholarship. After registering, you will be admitted to your local Surfing Moms Facebook group.
- We meet monthly at Stinson Beach or Bolinas depending on conditions. As the weather warms up, we’ll meet more often!
- I’ll post on the Surfing Moms Facebook group with meetup details the day before or morning of the meet up. Please check the Facebook group in case anything has changed (due to conditions).
- When we meet at the beach, each mom pairs up with one other mom to look after each others’ child/children. While the first Surfing Mom surfs, the other looks after both moms’ children, then swap. Pure fun!
